Some Laceby Cottages

Laceby is situated in the north eastern part of Lincolnshire, close to the coast and just to the west of Grimsby. It is the last village on the A46 Leicester to Grimsby Road, before you reach Grimsby itself. The village is very old, being of Viking origin, as the 'by' suffix (meaning settlement or place in Old Danish) suggests. There are many monuments in the village dedicated to the people who have shaped its history. Although a fairly sizeable village, Laceby is dwarfed by neighbouring Grimsby these days.
