Some Weston On The Green Cottages

Weston-on-the-Green is a small village in Oxfordshire, near to Bicester and some 12 miles from Oxford. The village has stocks on the green and thatched cottages. Akerman Street, two miles to the north of the village, is a Roman Road. Weston Manor is now a hotel, but the present Baronial Hall was the bailiffsâ€™ court for the Abbott of Osney who owned the house before the dissolution of the monasteries. Local land owning families then resided at Weston Manor until 1917. The building has been a hotel since the 1940s.
