The parish of St Lawrence occupies a central section of the island and is mostly inland, apart from a short stretch of St Aubin's Bay on its southern part. Hamptonne, the Country Life Museum, can be found in the Parish of St Lawrence. Visitors can see how traditional cider making methods are used in making Jersey Cider. The Cider Press House is the focus of the annual Cider Making Festival, which focuses on the traditional methods. Another museum popular with visitors is The Jersey War Tunnels, previously known as the German Underground Hospital.
