The Wolds village of Nafferton is quite a substantial one, its population according to the2001 census 2,184. This population, plus of course visitors, supports excellent amenities: a small school; chippie; post office, supermarket; and four pubs. The village sits just to the south of the A614 road between Driffield just a couple of miles to the south west, and Bridlington rather further away to the north east, and is also easily accessible by rail, having its own station on the line that winds between Hull and Scarborough.
