Long Bennington is a large pleasant village on the banks of the River Witham in the county of Lincolnshire, which is home to just over eighteen hundred people, from a small agricultural settlement the village grew when the Romans arrived, centuries later a group of Cistercian Monks built a Priory here in 1175, and later the quarrying of Lime led to its prosperity. It's surrounded by the beautiful countryside of the Vale of Belvoir which stretches for miles; its location will always attract walkers and cyclists as the long distance footpath of the Viking Way journeys through here.
