Chenulveslei, as it was known in the Doomsday Book, has a great deal to offer visitors and residents, today it is known as Knowsley – located in the North West of England close to Liverpool just off the M57 and the East Lancashire Road the town of Knowsley is readily accessible for commuters. Knowsley Hall has been the ancestral home of the Earls of Derby since 1835 and is set in around 2,500 acres of private parkland. The Safari Park was opened in 1971 and continues to attract thousands of visitors every year whilst the Stanley House Stud has bred over 20 classic winners in the last century.
