Kilfinan is a small village near the east side of Loch Fyne on the Cowal Peninsula in Argyll and Bute, Scotland, situated 4 miles north-west of the village of Tighnabruaich and approximately 17 miles from Dunoon. Historically interesting features include the 12th Church of Kilfinan, which houses a vault containing the burial stone of the ancient Lamont clan chiefs dating back to 1295, a 9th century stone inspired by the Iona Cross and early Christian stones tours are available by appointment. Kilfinan is surrounded by lochs, mountains and beautiful scenery it is a popular tourist destination attracting walkers, cyclists, nature-watcher and anglers, the village has a hotel, shops and amenities, there are a variety of places to stay and eat in the area.
