Frankby is to be found towards the North of the Wirral Peninsula in the North West of England lying between the M53 and the Dee Estuary. Originally known as Frankeby which is believed to have been a corruption of Frankl’s village, it had a number of name changes, by 1346 it was Fraunkbi and then Fraunkeley before evolving into the name and spelling that it s known today. Frankby became the country retreat for the Victorian industrialists that made their wealth in Liverpool from shipping, warehousing and industry.
