Comrie is a small town in Perth and Kinross in Scotland situated on the geological Highland fault line, between Glen Lednock and Artney on the Strathearn, 7 miles west of Crieff. Comrie dates back to 79AD, when a fort was built here by Agricola, it was once a busy droving route and by 1796 industries included handloom weaving, a distillery and two breweries, the small town was developed to accommodate the incoming workers. The ancient town is a popular tourist destination ideal for walking, golfing and nature-watching, with hotels, holiday accommodation, a caravan park, shops and amenities and a 9-hole golf course.
