Coldingham is an ancient Borders village positioned in Berwickshire, on the South East edge of Scotland, home to nearly six hundred people. History dictates that Coldingham played host to an Abbey where Queen Etheldreda became a Nun, although a fire destroyed this religious site, it was re-built, only to be razed to the ground once more by marauding Danes. The eleventh century saw the re-building of the Abbey where peace remained until Oliver Cromwell descended and bruised the building once again. Today's visitors can see the church where the ruins stood the test of time and only hints of the troubled times endured.
