Cardigan (In welsh Aberteifi) is an ancient cultural and commercial centre. With a population of approx 4200, this is a bustling town famous for its markets, for the beautiful countryside that surrounds it and for the extensive range of local crafts. (People here are specialists in everything from silk painting through pottery to hand knitted clothing and traditional welsh tapestry). Cardigan also boasts a wide range of local activities. Set on the Teifi estuary it is no surprise that water hosts the main attractions.
