Ballachulish is a village in Lochaber in the western Highlands of Scotland, at the mouth of Loch Leven, surrounded by magnificent mountains, situated 1 mile west of Glencoe and 15 miles from Fort William. Ballinchulish translated from Gaelic means village of the narrows, this settlement lies on the shore of Loch Leven where it narrows and is split into North Ballachulish and South Ballachulish and another settlement to the west closer to Glencoe. The area is a popular holiday destination for walkers, climbers, skiers, sight-seers, nature-watchers and for sea-fishing and angling.
