Audlem is a beautiful rural village set within the heart of the picturesque Upper Weaver Valley in the County of Cheshire. This ancient village which is full of charm has attractive cottages, and houses, and is home to just over seventeen hundred people. It was granted its market charter in 1296 by King Edward I, and although the market has long since gone, visitors will still find the Market Hall which was built in the 18th Century, and nearby there still remains the Bear Stone, where Bears were tethered, and baited in times past.
