Some Arnside Cottages

Arnside is located in the North West of England in an area of true natural beauty, in fact it is in an area designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is one of the largest villages in Cumbria (Population 2,300) and it lies close to the border with Lancashire. As with many coastal locations, Arnside overlooks the River Kent, there was a small fishing industry and in those days steamers, small coasters and yachts used to use the landing stage. As time passed the estuary silted up and this resulted in Arnside losing this industry.
